When God Comes To Town: Advent in Isaiah

Isaiah writes his book presenting to us a vision from the Lord with words from Lord. These visions and words speak of the incomplete restoration of God’s Kingdom in the Old Testament times, of the coming of the promised Messiah, and the anticipation of complete fulfillment of God’s kingdom when God in the flesh would return to make all things new. This Advent series focuses on Isaiah’s faithful announcement that God opened the door to real hope, peace, joy and love to us in the first Advent of Jesus and calls us to live faithfully as we anticipate restoration by the savior sent from God who will bring ultimate peace, justice, and righteousness into the world. This access makes us both the benefactors and bearers of God’s ways as we walk in God’s path. As we open our hearts to this Jesus, we recognize our access to the gifts of God found in hope, peace, joy and love. We hope you will join us as we wait for God to come to town.
