Shattered and Scattered

March 26, 2017 Speaker: Dennis Hermerding Series: COLLAPSE: The Book of Lamentations

Passage: Lamentations 4:1–22

Discussion Questions:

1. What’s one thing that stood out to you in this week’s message?

2. What do you value most in life? How can suffering and pain enable us to see what matters most?

3. Why is it so dangerous to presume on God’s mercy?

4. Have you ever been so severely hurt that you didn't think the pain would ever stop? How does knowing suffering and judgement from God have a conclusion enable us to persevere in the face of pain and suffering?

5. How does God use our pain for His ultimate purposes?

6. How does seeing Jesus as both the one who experiences being alone and abandoned in his suffering and the one who bears the full measure of God’s judgement help us in our own suffering and pain?
