Jesus Uncut: The Sermon on the Mount

The Sermon on the Mount is most likely the most well-known section of the teaching of Jesus. Throughout these three chapters in Matthew, Jesus draws his listeners to consider a different approach to life. A life that is thriving and promotes the beauty and glory of the Kingdom of Heaven. In his sermon Jesus critiques the legalistic zeal of the Pharisees, He challenges the anxiety-inducing pursuits promoted by worldliness, and draws us to consider all the ways that issues like worry, greed, and lust destroy human flourishing.
